Popeye fights Bluto over a pay phone to call Olive for a date. Popeye wins by outmaneuvering Bluto. His nemesis strikes back, however. When Bluto discovers that Olive is superstitious, he changes the calendar date to Friday the 13th so that Olive will not go out. He also provides some homemade bad luck, Bluto style. Popeye cleans Bluto's clock, of course...and this time, he doesn't even require any spinach.
